It'll be another chapter in my book.

Hello :) My name is Jennie Connor. I'm currently 18 years old and attending SUNY Potsdam. I'm from a very small town called Pulaski, NY located right next to lake ontario with a graduating class of about 80. How did I get here? Let me tell you how. In high school I was kinda shy at first but then very open and fun to be around. I loved my friends, but I spent most of my time with my family. I was very close to them and didn't really care about the whole party/friends life. When it came time to decide colleges I had always said I want to be like my big brother Lucas, who attended SUNY Oswego but for some crazy reason I changed my mind senior year and Chose Potsdam. Fell in love with the campus on my tour and just jumped. Graduation Day I'll admit I cried. I performed the song "I will remember you", I sang it with my best friend. It was a very surreal experience, that only you'll understand when the time comes. So I graduated and had a summer like it was my last and in a sense it was. When I got to SUNY Potsdam I did not know what to expect at all. I don't want to go too in depth but I'll share a little. I missed my family, a lot. The first few weeks were tough, It was very hard for me to go up to all these strangers and attempt to make new friends:/. I had several meals by myself until I finally had the nerve to just jump and talk to them. I'm gonna stop here so there will be more to tell later but I'll tell you this. It's the beginning of the second semester and a LOT has happened. So stay tuned in to hear it all .

My life

My name is Tina. I'm from a town called Stormville, NY. Which from the
city is considered "upstate." I went to John Jay High School, home of the
lovely Patriots. I'm also from the same area as Snooki, she actually
worked at the mall I use to go to. When I was in high school, I got made
fun of a lot. I also played softball for my high school and for a
tournament team called "Dutchess Debs." I really didn't enjoy high school
too much so when I looked for colleges I wanted to go as far away from
people from Jay as I possibly could. I found Potsdam, and I really liked
the campus. I thought it would be different and it definitely was.

My Story

       My name is James Campbell and I am from Westchester New York. When I first came to SUNY Potsdam I barely had money, I was over six hours away from home and without a car or anyone I knew. For the first few weeks I was desperate for friends but too stubborn and lazy to leave my dorm and make friends, so instead I would Skype friends from back home. Being depressed and alone in my small stuffy dorm room I decided to start taking advantage of the fact that no one knew who I was and I could start from a fresh start. so I did some homework and fished around for clubs and activities to network myself. I joined Army ROTC and MMA Club and went to on-campus college events. As awkward as it was trying to meet people i did not know in places i have never been and not knowing what to do or expect, it paid off in the end because i made some decent acquaintances that will soon to be close friends of mine. Also i only allowed right minded civil people into my lives because at this point in age I am conscious enough to know the friends you make around you will effect your future.
